Now that we’ve had a few weeks to get back into the swing of things, it’s time to regain the focus on ourselves and start creating healthier habits in the kitchen. We all know what we are supposed to be eating, but nutrition is more than just that. It’s about keeping those habits and making it a lifestyle change.
We ask that you commit yourself to nutrition and fitness for two months, starting with setting some S.M.A.R.T. goals for yourself.
Now that the easy part is done, let's be accountable for those goals. And that’s where we come in! We promise you over the next eight weeks, that we will be right alongside you to help with any questions or speed bumps you may encounter.
We will kick off this challenge on Friday, January 28th, at 6pm, with a Nutrition Seminar from Alex Frekey, of Performance Supplements. He will go over basic nutrition habits, along with any supplementation information that you may be interested in. He will also be available throughout the eight weeks to assist you if needed.
You will then have the weekend to gear up on groceries in preparation for the nutrition challenge to kick off on Monday, January 31st!
How to register:
Email Jen at raidhofitness@gmail.com stating that you are ready for the challenge! Registration is $30, which will include two InBody scans! Please arrive early to the seminar so that we can perform your first InBody scan. If you are unable to attend the seminar, email me to set up a time when you are able to come in before the start of the challenge on the 31st. (Not sure what the InBody is? Head on over to the 'InBody Test' page in the tabs above!)
How it Works:
We are running the Nutrition Challenge a little differently this year. Again, we are looking for the creation of healthy long-term habits so that we will all continue to be successful after the eight weeks are over.
Each member will have the potential of earning five points per day. Each point represents a daily task that is working towards forming those long-terms habits:
1. A full 8 hours of sleep
2. Drink 64 ounces of water
3. Eat/Drink clean
4. Workout for 30 minutes
5. Social Media Interaction with CrossFit Raidho and/or Performance Supplements (Okay… so this is more of a bonus point, but still counts nonetheless!)
You will be responsible for recording your points each day on the Challenge Chart at the gym and this will be based off the honor system.
On Friday, March 25th, you will step on the InBody for your second and final scan. Let me know if there is a scheduling conflict for that day, and we can get you in earlier!
There are two ways to win:
1. The member with the most body fat percentage lost will be our first winner! (This is based off your InBody results.)
2. The member with the most points accumulated over the eight weeks is our second winner!
And guess what?! We are opening this challenge up to everyone! If you have a spouse at home, or a close friend, that wants to help you be accountable and in turn, you do the same for them, they can register too!
